Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 5, 2026
This policy explains what BoothHop collects and how we use it.
Organizers (account holders)
We collect your email address, password (stored securely by our authentication provider) and organization name. We use them to run your account, send account emails and provide support. Payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see or store your card number.
Attendees
When you join an event, we collect the name, email and organization you enter, plus the booths you visit and your points. The event organizer controls this information. It is shared with exhibitors only if you tick the sharing box when you sign up, and only your name, email and organization (plus whether and when you visited that exhibitor's booth). Organizers may charge exhibitors for this access. You can withdraw consent at any time from your passport, and it won't be included in lists downloaded after that. Exhibitors who already received your details are responsible for their own use of them, including honouring unsubscribe requests. The public leaderboard shows only your first name, last initial and organization. To access or delete your information, contact the event organizer, or contact us and we will pass your request on.
Where data is stored
Data is stored with Supabase in Canada (AWS ca-central-1). Images you upload, such as logos and floor plans, are publicly accessible to anyone who has the link.
Cookies and storage
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your passport on this device. We don't use advertising trackers.
Retention
Event data is kept until the organizer deletes the event or closes their account.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing us.
