Questions
Do attendees need to download an app?
No. BoothHop runs in the phone's web browser. Attendees scan the sign-up QR code with their camera, enter their name and email, and start collecting stamps.
What happens when a free event reaches 100 attendees?
New sign-ups pause, and attendees who already have a passport carry on as normal. You'll see the count on your dashboard well before you hit the limit, and you can upgrade in a minute, even during the event.
Can people cheat by sharing QR codes?
Booth staff hold the QR card and only show it after the attendee answers their question. If a code does leak, you can generate a new one for that booth with one click and reprint its card.
What if a phone camera won't scan?
Every QR card has a short backup code printed underneath it that staff can read out, and admins can also award a stamp by hand from the dashboard.
Who can see attendee information?
Only your organization's team. The public leaderboard shows first name, last initial and organization. You own your data and can export or delete it at any time.
Do you offer refunds?
If something goes wrong with an upgraded event, contact us within 14 days and we'll make it right.
