Terms of Service

Last updated: November 5, 2026

These terms govern your use of BoothHop (the "Service"), a web application for running digital booth passport games at events. By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organization you create or join.

1. Accounts and organizations

You must give accurate information and keep your password secure. Organization owners control who on their team can access their events and data, and are responsible for what their team does in the Service.

2. Free and paid use

Each event is free for up to 100 attendees. You can unlock unlimited attendees for an event with a one-time payment, at the price shown when you check out. Payments are processed by Stripe. Upgrades apply to a single event and can't be transferred to another one.

3. Refunds

If an upgraded event has a problem we cause, contact us within 14 days of payment and we will refund or credit you at our discretion.

4. Your data and your attendees

You own the event data you and your attendees put into the Service. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect attendee information, for telling attendees how you'll use it (including any sharing with exhibitors), and for following anti-spam and privacy laws that apply to you, such as CASL and PIPEDA in Canada.

4a. Selling leads to exhibitors

Organizers may sell exhibitors access to the contact details of attendees who opted in. BoothHop processes these payments through Stripe Connect and keeps a commission, shown in your dashboard, from each sale. You are responsible for your consent wording being accurate, for any refunds to exhibitors, and for taxes on your sales. Exhibitors must use the leads in line with anti-spam law (CASL) and the consent attendees gave.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service for anything unlawful, to collect sensitive personal information, to run games of chance that break local laws, or to interfere with the Service or other customers. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Availability

We work to keep the Service available, but it is provided "as is" without warranties. Have a backup plan for live events, such as staff awarding stamps by hand.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these terms and will post changes here. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
